LongevityBank Pte Ltd (“Longevity” or “the Company”) fully respects your legal rights to personal data protection when it comes to collecting, using, transferring, storing, accessing and correcting of personal data. It is also our group policy to comply with the requirements of the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”). As such, we shall ensure full compliance by our company staffs to the highest standard of security and confidentiality in line with industry standard. This Policy statement explains our policy and practices.
All ‘personal data’ belonging to you is protected under the PDPA. Hence the personal data which identifies an individual will constitute ‘personal data’. The personal data we collect includes but is not limited to: full name, NRIC Number, passport number, photographs & CCTV images, personal mobile telephone number, personal e-mail address, name, residential address and etc.
In general, LongevityBank only collects, uses and discloses personal data upon your consent. There are 3 conditions for a valid consent. First, LongevityBank must notify you of the purpose of the consent. Secondly, the personal data required must be reasonable and thirdly, LongevityBank must not use false, misleading or deceptive means to obtain your personal data. However there are such instances where this consent is regarded as deemed consent and/or waived. For instance an organization can collect, use or disclose your personal data without your consent if it is required or authorized under other written law.
At any point of time, you may withdraw your consent to the collection, use or disclosure of your personal data upon giving reasonable notice to us. Upon receipt of such withdrawal of consent, we will cease to collect, use or disclose your personal data, unless such collection, use or disclosure without your consent is required or authorized under the PDPA or other written law. We shall also ensure that the parties to whom we transferred your personal data will comply with such request.
The PDPA presently prohibits organizations from transferring personal data out of Singapore except in accordance with requirements prescribed under the PDPA to ensure that organizations provide a standard of protection to the personal data so transferred. Where your consent is given / obtained, the personal data you have provided may be disclosed, or transferred out of Singapore. We shall have in our contract with such third parties, the requisite protections to safeguard the information we provided to them.
Under the PDPA, you have the right to access and/or correct your personal data with us.
We shall use our reasonable effort to ensure that the personal data collected is accurate and complete, if it is likely that the personal data will be used to make a decision that affects you, or the personal data is likely to be disclosed to any third parties.
LongevityBank may need to keep a disgruntled ex-customer’s or ex-employee’s personal data for a longer period or LongevityBank may need to retain the personal data for a longer period under the requirements of other applicable laws. At the end of the retention period, LongevityBank will remove, delete or erase the document containing the personal data permanently.
